What is Furniture Assembly Service & More and what do you do?
Just as the name states we Assemble and Install Furniture of the "Ready To Assemble" or "RTA" kind such as those sold through IKEA, Crate & Barrel, CB2, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kid (PBK), Target, Bo Concept, and many more. Our service extends to Businesses or Corporations in Offices or Business Parks in need of Office Furniture / Furnishings to the Home Owner ro College Student. (FAS© 2005)
The "More" component refers to other services we provide such as installation of Elfa Shelving Solutions from the Container Store, Hanging of Mirrors, Shelves, Light Fixtures, Artwork, Blinds and Curtains.

Where do we operate?
Our service area is primarilly to serve the greater New York Metro Area including the following: Manhattan, Westchester, White Plains, Rockland County, Northern New Jersey (Bergen, Hudson, Passaic, Essex, Union, Somerset, Morris Counties in NJ) and South Western Connecticut. What manufactures do we assemble?
We Assemble for the home or office all products from all of the following Manufactures: IKEA, Crate & Barrel, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Bo Concept, CB2, Staples, Office Max, Target, Home Depot, Lowes, Techline, Dallek. We also Install Elfa, Closet Maid, Rubber Maid, Closets By Design and many other Closet Systems. (FAS © 2005)
Hours of Operation and Fees?
We Operate on a Regular Work Week Schedule from Monday to Friday 9 AM to 5 PM. (Read below for Evening or Weekend Rates). Our Weekday Rate is based on $60.00 Per Hour ($1.00 per minute) and the time it takes to build each item for most IKEA "staple" or "commonly sold" items. These items include beds, dressers, tv stands, some wardrobes such as Ramberg and Aneboda, tables, chairs and sofas and bookcases of a quantity of one to two and Expedit Bookcases. When Calling, PLEASE have the item name, description (dresser, bed..etc..), if a "DRESSER or CHEST of Drawers" how many drawers, and so on. The more details you provide, the quicker and easier we can give you a quote. For fastest service, email your list to

What we are not and what we will not do!
**We do not take apart any items (IKEA or Other) "Finished" or "Carpentered" pieces such as "Couches" or any other "Factory Finished" pieces. We do NOT "Move" nor are we a "Moving Service" or a full scale "Delivery Service"! We just do assembly.**(FAS © 2005)
**We also do not under any circumstances "HACK" or "MODIFY" a product under any circumstances from its original design or intended use, that includes anything found on the web modified or hacked and not limited to postings on
"IKEA HACKER" or "IKEAFANS" websites!! Examples of these are creating "MURPHY BEDS", Creating room partitions USING PAX SLIDING DOORS or anything outside the norm"**(FAS © 2005)
Some speicalty items can become major projects and as such are subject to per/piece pricing since you can configure these items to unlimited combinations. These items include Pax Wardrobe Systems, Gallant and Effective office systems, IKEA Kitchen Systems, and Billy Bookcase projects consisting of more than two cabinets. are Flat Rate Only.(FAS © 2005)
It is our goal to provide service to you on your schedule, therefore "WEEKEND" and "EVENING" services are available...but not the norm. Because of this we charge $90.00 Per Hour after 6 PM and for all Weekend Calls ($1.50 per minute) We understand that you have a busy life as do we, so please try to schedule "Ahead of Time" and on a "Weekday".
*Note - Playsets are only installed on Weekdays and may have to be rescheduled due to inclement weather. Please be flexible with your schedule or plan early when scheduling.(FAS © 2005)

Our Goal!
Furniture Assembly Service was created to provide "STRESS FREE" Furniture Assembly / Installation, Playground Assembly /Installation and home storage solutions in the New York Metro and Tri-State (New Jersey, New York, Connecticut) Areas. We aim to provide these services at a REASONABLE RATE! We are far from the most expensive, but we are not the cheapest either. We are however PROFESSIONAL, HAVE OUR OWN TOOLS and have EXPERIENCE.
